Healthy Heels Weekend


Good morning Heels!  You might be down and out after last night’s tough loss to d00k, but cheer up!  There are plenty of fun things happening in town this weekend to take your mind off of the game.

Friday, 2/15/12

UNC Men’s Baseball vs. Seton Hall
Come out and support the #1 ranked Tar Heels as they take on the Seton Hall pirates in the first of a 3 game series.
Where: Boshamer Stadium, UNC campus
When: 3:00 PM
Cost: Free with One Card

Saturday, 2/16/12

UNC Men’s Basketball vs. Virginia
Roy’s Boys will be looking to avenge their ACC season opening loss at UVA.  If you don’t already have tickets, you can line up at the flagpole Friday night at 7 PM to get Turn It Back tickets or wait in the standby line at Gate C of the Dean Dome at game time (both based on availability).

Carrboro Coffee Roasters Free Public Coffee Cuppings
Learn the industry practice of cupping coffee to determine the attributes of what makes the worlds best coffees.  If you’re interested, head here to learn more.

Music in the Galleries: Community Love Jukebox, Vol. 1
Help the good folks at the Ackland Art Museum create a Community Love Jukebox by bringing vinyl records, cassette tapes, CDs, iPhones, and/or iPods with recordings of the love songs you love. Work with your fellow music-lovers and WXYC DJs to create a great “love mix.” The playlist will be compiled and made available on the Ackland website.
