Starting in June, Dr. Alexis Leca and Markera Jones will be holding a WOC Empowerment Group this summer. This group will provide a safe, supportive environment in which we can discuss our unique experiences. If you are interested, please visit care.unc.edu for more information. Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or burnt out at this time of the semester is a common experience, and it can lead people to disengage from the things that matter most to them. Get a (LOUD) mental health release at The Big Scream on Friday at 3:00 during Arts Everywhere day. Keep a lookout for peer mental health supporters at the event if you want to get more involved in mental health or need a bit more support. We asked grad students what they loved about Carolina, and they answered… This paw-some staff member is always on a roll! ⚾🧢💎🐏 The third seminar in the Spring 2023 Mental Health Seminar Series, "Building Resilience: Strategies for Getting Through Challenging Times," will be held April 12th from 12 - 1:30 pm, on Zoom.
Thank you to everyone who rose to the challenge on #GiveUNC. What an incredible day that truly represented what makes Carolina a place like no other. See the impact we made together: giveunc.unc.edu There is just 1 hour left of #GiveUNC! Did you know that all-division challenges give you the opportunity to show your support of Healthy Heels while joining in a friendly competition to unlock additional bonus gifts? Give to Healthy Heels today at giveunc.unc.edu/cause/student-affairs. On until 2 pm!! Join us for a day of learning and fun at The Bell Tower where we will have countless ways for you to engage in this special day. #giveunc is a day where we gather to learn about the many ways that philanthropy supports the student experience at Carolina, take fun photos, engage with student organization performances, interact with campus celebrities, and even make a gift to support the causes at Carolina that mean most to them.
